Paul Levi's Antique Log Homes
The pioneer hewn-log homes we sell primarily from the mountains and back-country of North Carolina, South Carolina, North Georgia, East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Whenever possible, these homes remain at their original site until ready to become your new home. When everything is ready, our crews move in, remove the old roof, windows, doors, and any exterior siding and interior trim. Then we carefully tag and identify each log so that, when rebuilt, they will fit as the pioneer builders intended them to. Some original hand-hewn homes survive the centuries without need for restoration. But when restoration is required, we replace any damaged logs from our extensive stock of individual antique logs and beams, paying careful attention to matching the original logs’ size, color, species and age. We then dismantle the cabin and bring it to your site where we rebuild it to your satisfaction, making any changes you request. We often combine cabins to create larger structures for modern life styles and we can also use a smaller cabin to create an addition for a kitchen or bedroom. We have the skills and resources to alter floor plans to provide the flexibility you need for custom placement of chimneys, doors and windows. |
